Dental Implants

The gold-standard solution for missing teeth. A dental implant replaces the whole tooth — root and crown — so you can eat, speak and smile with complete confidence.

About Dental Implants

A dental implant is a small, biocompatible titanium post that acts as an artificial tooth root. Once placed in the jaw it fuses with the bone over a few months, creating a rock-solid foundation for a custom crown, bridge or denture. The result looks, feels and functions just like a natural tooth.

Unlike bridges, implants don't rely on grinding down healthy neighbouring teeth, and unlike removable dentures they never slip or click. They also help preserve the jawbone, which naturally shrinks once a tooth is lost — protecting your facial structure and your remaining teeth.

What to expect

We'll explain everything at each stage, so you always know what's happening and feel comfortable throughout.

  1. 01

    Consultation & 3D planning

We assess your bone and gums and use 3D imaging to plan the precise implant position digitally.

  2. 02

    Implant placement

The titanium post is gently placed into the jaw under local anaesthetic, with sedation available if you prefer.

  3. 03

    Healing & integration

Over 3–6 months the implant fuses with the bone (osseointegration). A temporary tooth can bridge the gap.

  4. 04

    Final crown fitted

We attach a custom-made crown colour-matched to your smile, completing your new tooth.

Is it right for you?

Most healthy adults with one or more missing teeth are good candidates. We'll check that you have enough healthy bone (bone grafting can build it up if needed) and review any medical conditions or smoking that can affect healing.

Recovery & aftercare

Implants are cared for just like natural teeth — brush, floss and attend regular check-ups. Avoid smoking during healing for the best result.

Frequently asked questions

How long do dental implants last?expand_more

The titanium implant can last a lifetime with good oral hygiene and regular check-ups. The crown on top may need replacing after 10–15 years of normal wear.

Is getting an implant painful?expand_more

The procedure is done under local anaesthetic and most patients report it's more comfortable than they expected — often easier than a tooth extraction. Sedation options are available.

Can I replace several missing teeth with implants?expand_more

Absolutely. A few implants can support a bridge or a full arch of teeth (implant-supported dentures), avoiding one implant per tooth.

Am I too old for dental implants?expand_more

There's no upper age limit. What matters is your general health and the quality of your jawbone, both of which we assess at your consultation.
