Wisdom Teeth Removal

Relief from impacted or painful wisdom teeth. We remove problem wisdom teeth safely and comfortably, with sedation available for nervous patients.

About Wisdom Teeth Removal

Wisdom teeth (third molars) are the last to come through, usually in the late teens or early twenties. There's often not enough room for them, so they can become impacted — stuck under the gum or growing at an angle. This can cause pain, swelling, infection, crowding and damage to neighbouring teeth.

We use 3D imaging to assess the position of your wisdom teeth and their roots relative to nerves, allowing us to plan a safe, precise removal. Many wisdom teeth can be removed comfortably in the chair; for complex cases we'll discuss sedation or referral so you always get the right care.

What to expect

We'll explain everything at each stage, so you always know what's happening and feel comfortable throughout.

  1. 01

    Assessment & imaging

We examine the teeth and take 3D or panoramic images to map the roots and nearby nerves.

  2. 02

    Comfort & anaesthetic

The area is fully numbed; we also offer sedation to keep anxious patients relaxed throughout.

  3. 03

    Gentle removal

The wisdom tooth is carefully removed, with stitches placed if needed to help healing.

  4. 04

    Recovery guidance

We provide clear aftercare instructions and pain-relief advice for a smooth recovery.

Is it right for you?

Removal is recommended when wisdom teeth are impacted, causing pain or infection, crowding other teeth, or are difficult to keep clean. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — we'll only recommend it when it's in your best interest.

Recovery & aftercare

Rest for 24 hours, apply ice to reduce swelling, eat soft foods and avoid smoking, straws and vigorous rinsing for a few days to prevent dry socket. We'll guide you through every step.

Frequently asked questions

Do all wisdom teeth need to be removed?expand_more

No. If they're healthy, correctly positioned and easy to clean, they can stay. We only recommend removal when they're causing or likely to cause problems.

How long is the recovery?expand_more

Most people feel much better within 3–5 days. Swelling and tenderness peak around day two or three, then steadily improve.

Will I be put to sleep?expand_more

Straightforward removals are done under local anaesthetic. For complex cases or anxious patients we offer sedation options to keep you relaxed.

What is dry socket?expand_more

A painful condition where the healing blood clot is dislodged. Following our aftercare — especially avoiding smoking and straws — greatly reduces the risk.
